Duties

As a Nanny or mother’s help, you should expect to be asked to do some or all of the following:

General looking after children
Use your knowledge to organise creative play or educational outings
Participate in social events regarding the children
Facilitate in the development of the children’s social skills and manners
Look after the children’s wellbeing, monitoring their progress with regards to physical and mental health
Keep the parents informed about the children on a day by day basis
Wash and iron children’s clothing
Keep children areas of the home tidy
Prepare children’s meals

There may well be other tasks asked of you and this depends entirely on the particular contract. However, make sure that you are happy with your contract, so that you do not end up having to do something unexpectedly.
